The upper half of the work is filled with white birds, red waves and a female figure; the lower half holds flowers, textured patterns and another female portrait like a turquoise ocean. Fitoloğlu divides the work horizontally in two: sky and earth, now and memory, visible and intuited. But these two strata are not severed from each other; the birds move between them. The flowers are abstract while the birds are almost recognisably figurative — this contrast is the spine of the artist's mother tongue. The idea spoken of from the beginning — 'blue and green are the flow of time' — becomes a compositional principle in this work. One of the most poetically sensitive works in the collection.
