Artist manifesto

"I do not paint what I see; I paint what I feel. Blue and green are not colours for me — they are the flow of time, the breath of life, the inner voice of nature."

About the artist

Ahmet Fitoloğlu graduated from A.D.M.M. Academy of Architecture in 1978. His art training began earlier — under Lütfü Günay, Kayıhan Keskinok and Celal Yetkin — and spans decades of studio practice. Combining the architect's sense of space, balance and composition with painting, Fitoloğlu has developed a distinctive voice in abstract expressionist figurative art.
