The composition is made entirely of symbols: cage, bird, figure, window — each calling for an interpretation, but the artist fixes on none. Colours are saturated and warm — purple, yellow, turquoise, red. A moment in Fitoloğlu's recent practice where symbol and free association interweave. He passes through a Turkish-Mediterranean allegorical tradition to arrive at his own individual language.
