Artist Manifesto

On painting

For me, painting is not a form of narration; it is a state of feeling, of pausing, of breathing.

The canvas is the domain of intuition, not of thought.

I am not interested in copying nature as it is. I seek the motion, the rhythm, the continuity within it.

I do not paint what I see; I paint what I feel.

Blue and green are not colours for me; they are the flow of time, the breath of life, the inner voice of nature. These two colours build, in my work, a bridge between balance and movement.

My brushstrokes are not the result of a predetermined plan. Sometimes still as the surface of water, sometimes dense as a vibration rising from within the earth.

This fine balance between control and freedom forms the foundation of my paintings.

Small touches of red and other unexpected colours represent the sudden ruptures, excitements and surprises within life. Because life is never made of a single colour.

Every canvas is my attempt to capture the infinite within a single moment.

My only expectation from the viewer is this: to stand before the painting, to breathe, and to listen to their own inner voice.
