With four figures placed side by side, this work clearly shows the basic principle of Fitoloğlu's group portraits: though together, no figure looks at another. Each has a different expression and a different colour palette — turquoise and salmon tones above, earth and orange below. The lightly raised texture of the surface makes the work look like a fresco or something emerged from behind an old wall; this indicates the artist's deliberate pursuit of a feeling that comes from within time. The group portrait is a classical painting format (family pictures, graduation photos) — Fitoloğlu takes that format and turns it entirely into an emotional topology: we don't know who these four are, but we feel that each of us is somewhere one of them.
