The grey-white ground behind, with small red and yellow spots on it, gives a sense of wind or dust cloud. Fitoloğlu never quotes figures directly from literature and art history; he re-births them in his own language. Don Quixote here is not a foolish hero but a traveller of intuition. His lance is held high, the horse's head leaned forward — a road about to step into uncertainty. One of the few Fitoloğlu works that combines literary reference with folk-epic tradition.
